Our Collections
History Collection
The Dorothea B. Hoover Historical Collection explores the life and styles of early Joplinites. Peer into the lives of Bonnie and Clyde. Take a ride on the famous Route 66 as it rolls through Joplin. Join the presidents and presidential candidates who came to Joplin even before the massive EF-5 tornado of 2011. Enjoy a history from early mining to the House of Lords in the roaring 20s to a city fully recovered from a devasting tornado. And don’t miss a few of the surprises we have – not so hidden – in the museum.
